I am Thaindra Rijal, the founder of OmKrish Granite Pvt. Ltd. Over the past 11 years, my unwavering commitment to this cause has led to the identification of incredible opportunities of Nepal’s natural resources. Nepal, with its diverse geological makeup, always captivated my imagination. I firmly believed that our nation harbors deposits of high-quality granite stones waiting to be harnessed. This conviction propelled me into extensive research and on-site visits, culminating in the discovery of three distinct stones: Mica Mixed Galaxy Quartzite, Granite, Limestone, and Granitic Gneiss. Each possesses unique characteristics and holds immense potential in the market.
My journey took me beyond borders as I sought to enrich my understanding of mines and the mining industry. Venturing into stone production and processing hubs in India—exploring Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Karnataka—offered valuable insights. Further afield, I traversed the USA, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Singapore, and Sri Lanka, mapping the dynamics of the stone industry and establishing vital connections with potential associates. Currently, my focus is on expanding our presence in Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Europe and the Middle Eastern market, particularly in Dubai and Qatar.
In essence, my comprehensive knowledge spans the spectrum of Nepal's stones—from their types, purposes, and quality to extraction, refinement methods, and potential domestic and international markets. I've delved into the nuances of Nepali mining laws and export processes through Indian ports. Beyond knowledge, I have forged a robust team of experts comprising geologists, engineers, local representatives, and mining operation managers. Together, we champion sustainable and environmentally friendly project planning, engineering, equipment utilization, extraction, processing, and marketing.
